Happy Halloween, and other stuff...

OK, mostly other stuff. All right, this post has nothing to do with Halloween! Stop badgering me already!

So, to go along with my last post, I thought you all might be interested in this. John Kline is a congressman from Minnesota who has made a commitment to avoid earmarks in legislative bills. He hasn't accepted one in 2 years! I think he is exactly the kind of guy we need to support. There is a petition to support his call to reform the earmark system and STOP THE PORK!

I have to admit, John Kline is one of the better one's, but I hate to burst your bubble - he votes for pork too. He represents a rural district, so this spring he voted in favor of some huge agricultural spending bills that included big subsidies for corn and ethanol producers (that helped to push up gas and food prices). Bush veto'd it and he even supported the override. Michelle Bachman voted against it.

Ok one more....

The party's been taken over by the "moderates" (the neo-con's like Bush, McCain, Norm Coleman, Pawlenty, etc.) and the RINO's (Olympia Snowe, Lincoln Chafee, Chuck Hagel, Arlen Spector, Colin Powell, etc.).

The best we can hope for is that within the first 2 years of Obama, and with a super majority in congress, the dem/socialists will overplay their hand (a-la the Wellstone funeral) making enough people mad enough, so that we can come back in 2010 with a `94 style republican revolution and totally clean house - with real conservatives.

Not a very promising picture at this point though. And they'll be able to do a lot of permanent damage in the next 2 years.

Thank you, that is all. Talk to ya soon seester!!!!

And... John Kline is a retired Marine! Hold on to your wallet, I fear we are in for a few very bad years. I'm still hoping for a Republican win on Tuesday, but it doesn't look very well. Coleman and Bachman both have close races. I'm preparing to have my wealth redistributed - and that will be the least of my worries! My cheer is still "GO MITT!"
